Why should I attend this seminar?

·         Consider clinical application and visualization of the most common conditions and syndromes appearing in the spine as well as upper and lower extremities

·         Learn the implications of anomalies and conditions that individualize care and progressive training

·         Gain a clearer understanding of the importance of stabilization, proprioception and endurance of the core, that is the axial skeleton via the “spinal engine”

Spinal Conditions and Syndromes

  • Hands on examination of clinical anatomy

  • In depth investigation of spinal and pelvic subluxations
  • Detailed study of most common conditions and syndromes
  • Implications of brachial, lumbar and sacral plexus compromise

Saturday

Open only to licensed chiropractors and chiropractic students.

CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTING TECHNIQUE (4 credit hours)
  • Explore the concept of repetitive gentle adjusting.
  • Analysis, adjusting and clinical management of the cervical spine and rib cage.
  • Anatomy review of the cervical and thoracic spine, rib cage and lumbar spine.
  • Analysis, adjusting and clinical management of the thoracic and lumbar spine. 
  • Chiropractic analysis and adjusting of the 3-bone, 3-joint complex of the pelvis.

Mark Thompson, DC

A 1991 graduate of Life West, Dr. Thompson teaches in the diagnosis and anatomy departments at Life West. He is a certified chiropractic sports physician (CCSP) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). Dr. Thompson practiced in San Francisco, where he specialized in soft tissue and repetitive strain injuries of both the spine and the extremities.


Chris Salem, DC

Dr. Salem teaches anatomy, chiropractic philosophy, and diagnosis at Life West. A 2000 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic West, he also is on the anatomy and physiology faculty of Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Sciences in Richmond, California.


William Ruch, DC

 

A 1986 Life West alumnus, Dr. Ruch teaches anatomy at Life West and has a practice in Oakland, California. He is the author of Atlas of Common Subluxations of the Human Spine and Pelvis.

Life West will only notify advance registrants of any cancellation or program changes. Life West is not responsible for any expenses incurred by registrants due to adjustments or cancellations.

A $50 processing fee will be charged for refunds if the registrant provides written notice of cancellation at least three (3) business days prior to the seminar start date. Registration is nonrefundable if the program for which it applies is conducted as scheduled; however, a credit voucher may be issued, minus a $25 processing charge. A credit voucher must be requested within sixty (60) days of the seminar end date. The credit voucher may be applied towards another Life West program and must be redeemed within one (1) year of the original scheduled program date or it will be forfeited.
